WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE PERSONAL INFORMATION YOU COLLECT?

    Customer information is collected for the purpose of processing your order. This information is kept confidential and is not shared.

POLICY FOR RETURNS & EXCHANGES

WHAT IS THE RETURN POLICY?

    Returns are accepted on products within 30 calendar days of placing your order (unless otherwise noted or ineligible for return, see below).
    Simply return the unused item in its original packaging within 30 days unless noted below. An original order receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. Refunds will be issued in the same method of payment as the original payment.
    Before sending your return, please contact us at domesticatdesign@gmail.com. We will send you a form to describe the nature of your return. This return form needs to be printed and enclosed in the package with your returned product(s). Orders returned by mail without an invoice or return form cannot be processed and will be returned to sender at their expense. We will email you when your return has been received and processed.
    Please allow adequate time for shipping. For your protection, please send your return via carriers who offer package tracking such as USPS, FedEx, or UPS (be sure to retain your tracking receipt for future reference). DOMESTICAT is not responsible for lost or delayed shipments.
    Ineligible Returns: Products must not be used, worn, altered, or washed. We cannot accept returns on used bedding, toys, or food-related items for pets, unless otherwise noted. Products must have all original tags or packaging. Items marked FINAL SALE are not returnable.

    Shipping charges are not refundable. Packages that arrive COD may be denied, or the COD amount may be deducted from your return.

WHAT IS THE EXCHANGE POLICY?

    In order to serve you most efficiently, we do not offer exchanges in the traditional sense. You will receive the item you need fastest if you simply place a second order at the same time as you send us your return. Once we receive your return, we'll credit your account.

    Gift Orders: If you have received a gift from DOMESTICAT that you would like to return, please include the return form for returns by mail. You will be issued a store credit for the amount of the returned products, less any discount codes or promotions used in the original order.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I RECEIVED A DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE PRODUCT?

    If your return is the result of an incorrect shipment, or a damaged or defective product, we will refund merchandise and shipping charges in original form of the sale. We will reimburse shipping charges incurred to return incorrect, damaged, or defective merchandise, not to exceed the published shipping rate for the weight of the package. Please contact us at domesticatdesign@gmail.com and we will help you exchange or return the item.

    Damaged Shipments: Once you have determined that the products shipped to you were received damaged, you need to notify us and the carrier (US Postal Service, UPS, FedEx, etc.) within 2 business days. At time of delivery, if the packaging appears damaged on the outside, please refuse to accept it from the carrier, and let us know immediately.

    Please note that we may request for you to e-mail photos of damaged or defective merchandise or other documentation prior to accepting a damaged/defective claim.

DO YOU OFFER PRICE ADJUSTMENTS?

    We do not honor price adjustments on DOMESTICAT products.

PAYMENT PROCESSING INFORMATION

WHAT IS THE PROCESSING TIME?

    If your package arrives at DOMESTICAT within the 30-day timeline specified above, your refund will be processed in the original form of payment within 5 business days. You will be notified via email to the address listed on your account when this transaction has taken place. Your banking institution may require additional days to process and post this transaction to your account once they have received the information from DOMESTICAT.

    Late Returns: Returns and exchanges received after the specified 30-day timeline will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Products received after 30 days from the original order may be returned to the customer at their expense. If your late return is accepted, we will issue an exchange or store credit.

    DOMESTICAT reserves the right to change this policy at any time.
